1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies (local storage, session storage, pixels). “First-party” cookies are set by us; “third-party” cookies are set by another domain — for example a payment provider whose script runs on our checkout page.
2. Our rule: nothing non-essential loads before you choose
We follow the ePrivacy Directive as applied in the EU/EEA: strictly necessary cookies run without consent, while preferences, statistics and marketing cookies are set only after you give consent, and are blocked until then. Refusing is as easy as accepting — the banner gives both options with equal prominence, and you can change your mind at any time via the Cookie settings link in the footer. Refusing costs you no functionality except the declined feature itself.
3. The cookies we use
3.1 Strictly necessary — no consent required
These keep the site working. Without them you cannot log in, keep items in a cart, or check out.

Payments: once you reach checkout, our payment providers may set strictly necessary fraud-prevention cookies:
Stripe / WooCommerce Payments (
__stripe_mid,__stripe_sid, and similar) and, if selected, PayPal
(
ts,ts_c,X-PP-*,__paypal_storage__). These are required to process your payment securely and to prevent fraud.
3.2 Preferences — consent required
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
[ preference cookies — none currently set; update if a theme/plugin introduces one ] |
3.3 Statistics — consent required
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_pk_id., _pk_ses., _pk_ref.* | Matomo, self-hosted at matomo.podpaws.com | Anonymous website usage statistics | 13 months / 30 min / 6 months |
MATOMO_SESSID | Matomo | Temporary session identification for heatmaps (if enabled) | Session |
We configure Matomo to anonymise IP addresses and to honour Do-Not-Track. Statistics cookies are set only if you accept them; if you decline, Matomo records nothing that identifies you.
3.4 Marketing — consent required
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
[ none currently deployed — no Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or Google Ads were found on the site during our audit. If you add one, it must be listed here and blocked until consent. ] |
4. Third-party recipients of cookie data
- Stripe / WooCommerce Payments and PayPal — payments and fraud prevention (some act as independent controllers for fraud data; see their own policies).
- Matomo, on our own infrastructure — analytics only, on our instructions.
- Hostinger (hCDN / LiteSpeed) — content delivery, caching and security filtering.
We do not allow third-party advertising networks to place cookies on this site.
5. Managing your choices
- Our banner / Cookie settings link — accept all, reject non-essential, or choose per category. Available from the site footer at any time.
- Browser controls — Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox each allow you to block or delete cookies. See your browser’s help pages.
- Platform resources —
aboutcookies.org,youronlinechoices.eu(EU behavioural advertising choices). - Do-Not-Track / Global Privacy Control — we honour these signals for Matomo analytics.
Deleting necessary cookies may break login, cart and checkout. Deleting statistics cookies simply resets our analytics.
6. Changes
We keep this list accurate. When cookies change, this page is updated with a new “Last updated” date; material changes to non-essential cookies trigger a renewed consent request.
