Community Guidelines
JustForPetStore (JFPS) is a wholesale marketplace for the pet trade. Members publish stock listings, buying requests (“wanted”), community wall posts, private messages and product reviews. Most of what you see in those areas was written by another member, not by JFPS. These guidelines state what is acceptable, how to report something that is not, and what happens after a report.
They sit alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. In the mobile app you can reach this page from the Report button on any post, listing or member.
1. What you must not post
- Spam — repeated identical posts, unsolicited advertising, referral or coupon farming, and content generated purely to drive traffic elsewhere.
- Abuse or harassment — personal attacks, threats, intimidation, discrimination, or coordinated pile-ons directed at another member or at any person or business.
- Offensive content — pornographic, sexually explicit, gratuitously violent or hateful material, including in images, avatars and display names.
- Unsafe or illegal products — counterfeit goods, products subject to a recall or import ban, prescription veterinary medicines sold without authorisation, restricted or dangerous species, and anything whose import into the destination country is prohibited.
- Misleading listings — quantities, prices, units, expiry dates, brand names, certifications or country of origin that you know to be untrue.
- Other people’s property — content you do not own or lack permission to use, including photos, catalogue copy, logos and trademark-protected text, or another member’s identity.
- Personal data of others — publishing contact details, order history or business information about another person without their consent.
2. How to report
Every wall post, wanted request, stock listing and member profile can be reported, and every member can be blocked.
- In the app: open the ••• menu on the post, choose Report, pick a reason and add a note. Choose Block member to stop seeing that person entirely.
- By email: write to hello@globalpetindex.com and include the post or member link so we can act.
Reporting hides the post from your own feed immediately. Blocking removes that member’s posts, listings and requests from every screen you see, and un-follows them automatically. You never have to keep looking at something you have already flagged.
3. What happens next
Reports go to the JFPS operations team. We review them within two business days and can do one of the following:
- take no action where the content meets these guidelines;
- hide or remove the post;
- restrict the member’s posting for a period;
- suspend or close the account, and cancel any live orders, in serious or repeated cases.
We will not tell you what sanction another member received, but we will confirm that your report was handled. Reports made in bad faith — for example mass-reporting a competitor to get their listings taken down — are themselves a violation.
4. Appeal
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, write to hello@globalpetindex.com with the post reference and your reasoning. A second reviewer who was not involved the first time will look at it.
